Where I Live!!!

I always talk about where I live and about the lane I live down... One day I took these pictures to show everyone what I'm talking about. I always talk about me having to take the trash can to the end of the road. Well the last picture is the end of the road. I love it here. I love looking at the trees and not being bother by the traffic and loud noise. But, I don't like having to take my trash to the end of the road. At one point my nephew would do it for me but, that lasted only for a short time because he doesn't live here. So, enough about that. I just wanted to make sure I posted it. O'yeah... the last picture is a clear example of why I need a lawn man to make some changes for me. I need a elevated/leveled drive way. That is high on the "To Do List".

Friday!

Wow, I'm so happy to be back home from training this week. It was so nice spending time with my new friends but, I really missed my BED.

I must say that I had a wonderful time with Millicent at the movies. We saw SPIDERMAN3. I loved it! I love all of the SPIDERMAN movies. I have to say I love to see him in action. I hate that he gets beat up all the time but, for the most part I love the movie. I can't wait to buy it. Afterward, we went to Waffle House. I had to have me a Omelet. All because of the movie. It was so good.

This weekend I'm going to chill. I want to drive down to Jacksonville and see what I can get into. I haven't been down there in a minute. I have to see first if Stan is going to finish painting my office. O'yeah that's another story... I will add pictures for better understanding but, the story is you can paint an accent wall. I picked out a color and I found a cream to paint the other walls because they were dirty. Well I didn't want a yellow based cream but, I want cream so I got a orange based cream. Well, after spending all night painting and he is still not done... All four walls look very colored. I think I'm going to get in trouble. I don't want to get in trouble. I might be in there repainting my own walls. But, I must say it's very pretty! I love it. So this weekend Stan is going to come back and finish the only cream wall in the room. I hope the others pass off as cream or I will be a painting soul.

I don't want to do much on Sunday but, go to church. Last Sunday... the pastor preached on LOVE!!! Yeah Love! the one thing that stuck out was, "Love is an action word" I liked that. Because it allowed me to see that if I'm not getting something in return then.... somebody don't feel the same way I do! I am a giver. I give my all! I love actually!

It's a New DAY!!!!

I'm so excited. I have the internet. I'm so thankful. So much has happened since I've been in Georgia for 4 months. I love being here. I know everyone knows that already. However, the internet serves as a great means for me to communication with all of my friends and family.

Fourth of July... I had a nice fourth. I did nothing. I slept most of the day and then I roamed the streets. I stopped by Virgil's house-but, his hamstring was hurting and he was laying on the sofa. Therefore, I didn't find any food. Eventually, RaSheda and I went to the Chinese Food place and ate at home.

Today is Doris's Birthday. She is 70. I'm so happy for her. Doris is my childhood neighbor. I love her because she's been there all of my life. Today is her day! 7.7.07! You can't bet! God Bless you Doris!

Offical Last Day!

Today - Tonight is my offical last night at the King and Prince Beach Resort... I really appreciate everyone for there help and patience while I was working here. I really enjoyed everyone. Ok! The official day #1

Ok! Monday was my real day #1... I can't tell everyone what happened but, I have to say that I know many people in Glynn County. And, this is a whole nother world that I've never experience. This career is very fast paced and I'm up for the challenge. I will get the privilege to go to training all over Georgia. I'm so excited! I want to be the best Case Manager for Foster Care I can be. I can see the examples of the person I'm going to become. I can see where God is working on me! I thank God! I know he's AWESOME!

I'm so "Thankful" for the people in my life that has added to who I am positivley. I Thank God for Mrs. Stella! She's sent from Heaven! I Thank God for her!

It's very so interesting to watch me get up early in the morning. I'm so excited for the excellent job I'm doing and the excellent job... I'm going to do! Thank You Jesus.

My First Day on my *NEW* Career!!!

My first day have come and gone. I had a wonderful time during orientation and I met many nice people (some from different counties). At, first my supervisor and other office people was looking for me making me think that I thought I was in trouble already (SIKE!!) but, they wanted to take my picture, give me a company phone and office! I'm so special I have an office. I left for a little while had lunch and completed a drug test (good thing I had to pee shoottt). When I got back Wendy had me ordering all of the things I needed for my desk and from that point on I was busy in my office trying to see how I wanted my desk arranged and what color I wanted to put on the wall. I'm so excited I get to paint one wall my office any color I want. I'm so excited. I'm ready to have my personality shining through. I found out that I'm going to be a placement agent... Placing Foster Children. I will learn more Monday. That's when I will begin my training. I'm so EXCITED to learn so much.

Also. I'm going to miss King and Prince Beach and Golf Resort. I will never forget the love and opportunity they have provided me. From the General Manager all the way to my co-workers I've enjoyed every one. They encouraged me and supported me through every thing I've attempted during my career hunt and my overall move back to GA. I'm so thankful for each and every person I worked with, talked too and laughed with. I will for ever hold this place in high regards.

Another thing... My sister can and ate with me a few times here while I worked and she let me take a picture of her. She had this new nice Haircut and I wanted to display her on my Blog. I love my big sister! Thank God for them!

ShowTime!

Today, I had a really rough day! I just could not get up! I woke up this morning around 8am and was very very tired... I laid down and stayed there until 2pm. I felt better but, my head is still cloudy. I hate to feel like that because tomorrow is "SHOWTIME! " First day at work... Zack will be home! then I have to go to work for 3 hours after doing a 8 hour shift. Pray for me!

I also wanted to note that when I was looking at the pictures from the retreat I loved the different angles that Lisa used. I love it. I love the way they look so different. I've been wanting to say that and I've tried it on some of my shots. I will post them later. But, Thank you Lisa for inspiring me!

Thoughts on New Job

Last Night...


My Friend Jennifer wrote me a very nice email (like many) but, she asked was I scared to begin my new job? I replied as followed;

I am so nervous about this new job not scared because being scared is not of God but, I'm very nervous. I going to be classified as grown. No more school/classes/part time jobs etc... I have to get there at 8am in the morning and I'm going to be dealing with real people in real situations. I don't know but, I'm just going to pray. I'm also nervous because I'm changing... I'm changing into a leader. Even though, I am a leader but, I feel now that I'm going to be MORE accountable. The type of papers I had to sign (during orientation) and take oaths... made me understand that this position is very serious. I feel myself stepping up to the plate and it's exciting because, I know the only way I can go is UP! SO heck yeah I'm nervous!

I wanted to again say.... "that I'm very Thankful to all of my friends that wish me well! Thank You!"

I GOT the Phone Call!!!

Yippee! I must let the world know that I have a new Job! I'm so excited. I will be a case manager for the Department of Family and Children Services for Glynn County. I'm so excitely Blessed. I'm so Happy! I have been working very hard at trying to find me a job that will provide everything and more. I'm so Blessed that I will have a job that I can learn from! I will be able to gain valuable information that will be very benefical for a lifetime! I'm so so so so Blessed! and Thankful! I begin on June 1st 2007.

I will have a 8am-5pm job. I'm so grown now! Hehehehehehehe!

Ok... Sistah's Scrappin Retreat 2.... Man, what a wonderful group of ladies. I've learned a lot from them... Laughed so muich with them... and enjoyed my time with them all together. I must say that Prince is "GAY". I stand firmly on that!!! The gossip was good, the movies were great and the singing... Well, the singing was!!! The snoring wasn't as strong as it was last time but, there definately there. I love all these ladies. I can't wait until September and I hope to see them soon.







These pictures are of our scrap area at the Sistah's Retreat 2... We had a BALL!!! It's getting better and better. I can't wait until the next one. This time I scrapped much more than the first time. I came home with a Book for Alisha (a surprise), some cards, a bunch of 8x8 pages and one 12x12. I'm so happy. I will be scrapping this Monday to make use I stay on a roll. I'm so excited. I did win a lot of things and I will be getting Lisa's book in the mail. I can't wait.




Ok... First things first! Today is ShaRon's Birthday! She's 30 NOW! I know Big things are coming her way because Our God Blesses!!!!!

No Phone Call

I am still waiting for my phone call. I can't wait to begin my new positon. Thank You Jesus. Tomorrow I will leave for Atlanta. I can't wait to see my friends. We are going to have a wonderful time. I am very sure of that. I can't wait to see there scrapbooks and begin making one special book.

Today!

Today, I wrote a letter to Jennifer (the lady that interviewed me). I hope it gives me a great chance at acquiring the position of Case Manager. I can't wait until I begin. I want to work, be busy and love helping.

Today. I recieved my money back from the tax people... they be charging people without telling them. Crooks!

I went to the store and copped "Stomp the Yard" I can't wait to go home and finish watching it.

May 15

Well Well Well, It's May 15... the update on me is... I had a interview 5/11 with Department of Family and Children Services. I had a wonderful interview and I pray that they will call me and invite me to be apart of there team. I'm so excited. Zack was supposed to be home but, he won't come until June 1st... Hopefully my first day at work. I am due to go to the Second Annual Sistahs Retreat on May 18. I can't wait to meet the ladies. It's going to be a Blast. I wish Teefah could come. Below are some pics of my progress with the house. I'm so happy and pleased with it.

Here I Am!!!

Ok! Here I am... I have been MIA. I hate that I haven't had the internet since I've been to SSI but, I have been taken pictures. I really have missed my friends and co-workers. I have begun working at King and Prince Beach Resort and I have had a wonderful time making things work. I love being back in Georgia. I don't really miss Michigan at all. The only thing I wish I had was more paint and a air conditioner unit. I have been painting and painting ever since I've been here and the results are nice! I let my nephew stay with me for a few weeks and it's been fun however, I've missed being by myself however, I've enjoyed the conversation. He's fun. I'm ready for friends and family to come over but, Not really. I still have so much more work to do. Enjoy the pictures. Lots of Love!

Girlfriends Girlfriends!

Long long day! Had a good time with Alisha, Lateefah, Mary Kate and Paul! Kicking it with Mary Kate and Paul and dinner with Alisha and Lateefah at Outback! Very good!




I just wanted to touch bases and tell you how I feel about car insurance and moving and Let me throw in people too. Ok! The first thing. Car insurance. I can't believe that my insurance company is acting a fool!!! Picture it. My deductable is $250. The work that needs to be done totals $650. The insurance company only want to pay $ 300. Doesn't that sound funny to you? I feel like it's not right! I think they should cover everything outside of my deductable. I believe in customer service and I believe in doing what is right. The don't believe that this company is worthy of the $100. the damage is done and the people can provide the service and I trust the people. I asked the claims lady was she telling me that the body shop was not telling the truth and making up numbers just to get money for a FREAKIN window repair? (btw the window and door is damaged and I believe the body shop because I've been with them before and I trust them). I told the Body shop to do the work... My policy ends on the 22nd and I will have my car back!!! It should NOT take a week for this whole process. Now! Moving. I have so much stuff. I've shifted, donated, packed and I still have so many things left to put into boxes... My question is WHO IS GOING TO UNPACK THIS STUFF! If you can't tell this is my first real Move! I left California when I was young and Georgia when I was in the early 20's but, now! I have things that I like/must have! LOL But, the question is whose going to unpack all of this stuff!!! P.S. I went to the LSS and I spent $35 I have a new question... Where am I going to put these new scrapping supplies? Lastly... I've made some very very nice friends/associated/people here in Michigan and I'm going to miss each and everyone of them in a special way. Everyone has made a great impact in my life and I will forever think of them. BUT! we are down to the last week for me to leave and everyone wants to meet on the same day but, don't really. They want me to set up a little going away gathering so they can come and we can mingle! I tried to get someone else to do it but, they wouldn't so I picked a date... The said yeah! NOW! everyone wants me to change it because it's the wrong weekend for pay day and or it was short notice or something else. Right now... I have too many things going on in my life to be planning a event and no one is going to arrive nevertheless want to pay for there own food. I swear I totally understand there intentions were good but, I can't do everything! Tell me Bye! Call me sometimes and I promise I will be ok! Thanks for listening/reading/ and being there! Fun Date

Alisha is so sweet. I'm so Blessed to have her as a friend. She came and picked me up for breakfast and brought me a Valentine's Day Rose. It is so Sweet and Pretty. I agree with her Mom that she is a Blessing to everyone one she's around. I Thank God for her.

Last night... I had a fun Date! We actually didn't do anything. And, before it was all over he came over my house and went to sleep. It was fun talking to him but, WHATEVER! After I move I'll see!

Meredith is here and I hope to have dinner or lunch with her. I miss her and I want to see her. I think I'm just going to need to take a trip to Kansas City, MO and visit her because I know she's very busy when she comes here. I love her she's a good friend.

It Cold outside. I took some pic of the snowy weather. I can't believe we haven't had any snow at the end of 2006. But, NOOOOO when I get ready to move it wants to SNOW every day. EVERY SINGLE DAY... now don't get me wrong it's very pretty SEE.

*Update* on car... Well I don't know if City Body is still arguing with the stupid insurance company or not but, either way its' crazy. I hope to have everything straightens out but, Monday. I want to return the rental and then get my car back shortly after that. The Deputy J.Ross called me to let me know that others have been vandalized the same way I have and that no one knows who or why. It's crazy. Well, I'm going to be praying for them. I hope they get weary and change there ways. God Bless them.

On Feb 15 this is what happened...

Thank you Lisa for thinking of me. Ladies you just don't know what kind of day I had. First, I must say I took myself to the movies yesterday and seen both Daddy's Little Girls and Norbit. Both were very good movies. Today, I recieved a call for a job interview with the local hospital where I'm moving... TBTG ( I made that one up... Thanks Be To God! ). I was so happy I went outside to warm up my car and... Someone broke my car drivers window. Glass everywhere!! The first thing I said was "THE devil IS A LIAR" I didn't get mad. I just called the police, insurance lady and City Body (repair place). I know God's got everything under control and I'm not going to waste my energy on someone elses ignorance. About the car. It looks like someone used some type of prying tool on the window, broke it and the top of the door frame. It doesn't seem like they even opened the door. I didn't have much laying out two essence magazines and a car charger. To me it seems like they were practicing on how to open a car door or my alarm thing scared them. Everything will be just fine! I have to get everything cleaned up because I'm Moving! TBTG!!! To answer the questions listed... This is too fun! I want to first say that once I clean up all friends and family are more than welcome to come. I can't wait!!! I currently live in Ypsilanti, Michigan. It's the sister city to Ann Arbor (home of University of Michigan). About 40 miles west of Detroit. I lived here for 7 years. I've gone to school the whole 7 years (minus one summer and one fall semester). I will be moving back to Georgia (I moved there orginally when I was 17 , graduated high school there and left when I was 25) The city is St. Simons Island. It an actually Island. You must cross 2 big bridges and 2 small ones to get to the house. My father was born there and I spent many summers there as a kid. The main land is Brunswick. The nearest major city is Jacksonville, Florida at 76 miles south and the second closest city is Savannah, GA at 84 miles north. Atlanta is 316 miles, Albany is 181 and Greensboro is 418 Oh! I didn't forget Tena I'm 265 miles from you! My planned move date was Monday, March 5 but, I got the bug when I went to visit so now I will be leaving on Feb 28. And, I can't wait for many reasons; weather #1, closer to friends and family, no rent, new career... on and on. My main goals are to find a church home, a career that involves my field of study (Educational Leadership Higher Education) and set and complete goals. I want to also open a business (unsure of what), I want to live and enjoy life peacefully and travel both in and out of the US. One of the greatest things I would like to do is Marry my best friend and have kids. So, I'm praying for all of these things. I'll keep you ladies posted on my progress. Happy Valentines Day!!!

Well today is Valentines Day. Again no boo! But, I ain't mad. I'm chillin this year. I have so many other things to handle rather than worry about not having someone to spend it with. It snowed all last night but, not too too much. I'm just going to enjoy me a steak dinner with a whole bunch of veggies. I just want to chill!

I'm Back

I'm Back and now I can chill for this last 3 weeks in MI. I'm Sleepy but, I'm good. I had a good Trip and Alisha had a good time.

February

This is the month were everything will happen very fast. Sallie Mae wants there money, Sprint wants there money and My first Car note must be paid. I'm so excited to put in my letter of resignation. Sounds funny right! Well I'm moving and I can't commute from Georgia to Michigan sooooo I have to leave somethings behind. Tomorrow... will be the first ever football game with two Black head coaches and We (Alisha and I) will head to Georgia. I think I'm going to take a nap and then leave because I'm alittle leary of all the people drinking and driving but, then again I think it will be early enough on the rode that everyone may be at the event or settled at home. I'm going to be praying, praising and singing. Ta-Nisha said she wants to come but, I don't think she's going to make it. I think it would be fun but, life comes first then fun. Everyone has bills and things to do and take care of. I will be taking pictures of everything on the way to and from Georgia. I will post plenty.

Clutter!!!

Oh my goodness! I never knew how much clutter one can make packing to move. I love my things but, this apt is so cluttered. I need the movers to come and rescue me from my things. I have so many boxes that are full of I don't know what and the other boxes are waiting to be filled. I can't wait until mostly everything is packed. The one thing that is going to be the hardest to pack it the is my scrapping things. Teefah and I have been scrapping on the weekends and it's so fun. I can't believe the good time we have been having. The food is good too. I don't know what I'm going to make this weekend. Last time we had Fish, grits, biscuits, and eggs. Can you say, "um um good".

I will be packing some more things and I'm going to try and remember to take a picture of my progress! I have to stop being so relaxed and need to finish cleaning and packing because I can't stand this mess and fact that I have so much junk around.

Today!

I'm so excited today. I got a message to call Tiare today because my layout will be Layout of the Day! I'm sooooooo excited. I want to see it on there. I worked so hard on this LO. I love it. Lateefah did the questionaire. I found the sketch. I'm so happy with the outcome. I really enjoy scrapping with Teefah on the weekends. Things are so special and fun even though the house is a mess because I'm packing. I will be moving on March 5 and I will be visiting next week. Alisha will be going with me and I hope she don't mind that I will be packing the car up. I can't wait. But, the sad thing is I'm leaving my friends. I'm really going to miss them and so many of them have been very good friends to me! I'm totally Blessed and Thankful!

Photoshoot is ON!

Taking photos within these last few days before I go to Georgia is on! Lateefah and I are snapping like crazy! It's been fun and funny! I get to try out new techniques I've been wanting to try on someone. Last night when we went to Crate and Barrel to make a return it was snowing very prettylike and we broke out the cameras and being snapping! Enjoy! The first pic was at Teefahs. My Sofa Came!!!

I have my sofa... I like my sofa! I can't beleive it's almost time for me to move. I talked to the lady about the moving date today. I'm so nervous. I can't believe this time has really come.
