Ok Ok! I'm up! Last night/This Morning was so much fun. I enjoyed every moment of scrapping all night! It was 14 people plus the two working girls. Lateefah and I went as a pair. Teefah worked very hard and jumped right into her scrapping assignment (Her Wedding album). She did very very good! I on the other hand was so very intrigued by the tools and techniques of the ladies that were in the room I had huge problems focusing. I couldn't believe the tools, ideas, and how they made everything look so easy. These women had it going on. I was in Awe... I was ScrapStruck. Downright Impressed!
I had so much fun. Everyone was friendly and shared very well. When ever someone needed some stickers, flowers, or advice everyone was very happy to share and provide a awe or ooh!. Knowing that you had a support team with you there made the night very much more enjoyable. Sometimes it's so hard deciding on something as simple as tearing a piece of paper or where to place an embellishment.
It was great to see all of the beautiful LO's being crafted. I learned so much from everyone. I also learned that I like Creative Memories items. I've seen these stencils before but, I didn't have any idea where to get them. I assumed that you could get them from a store somewhere but, That was not the case. Some women there sold Creative Memories products... We made many connections. It was so fun to see the networking going on. I will get some Creative Memories items before this year is up. (A Big SMILE)
The one thing I was totally amazed about was the fact that not many women used the die-cutter. Actually, the only two people that used the die-cutter (that night) was Teefah and I. I like the die-cutter. Now that I think of it no one had a sticker maker out either. I believe that most of the women bought stickers and used rub ons. Still I like the Die-Cutter. Again, I was totally impressed by there choice of using other forms of creative measures! It just made me realize that I was a true beginner but, ready for the growth!
The night (July 28th) started at 6pm and ended at 8:30am. Oh! What a night. From the beginning 14 women started however, only 5 survived until 8:30am. Someone had a wonderful idea for all of us to go outside and take a picture together as the sun began to rise. It was very fun. Everyone whipped out their cameras and the pictures began to formula. We had a great time... I believe the last people were named Angela (Me), Lateefah, Suzanne, Tracy, Beverly, and (the two workers that were very fun, helpful and kind enough to host) Claire and Meegan. One more thing... The radio station played 80's music all night long and everyone had a singing good time! The night could not have gotten any better! Oh yeah! We did get a goody bag full of nice things and we won prizes!. Boy! Did I have a good time!
