Ok OKKKK!!!

It is not labor for me to blog. I love it. I enjoy typing, thinking and sharing. Everything now is coming back together and my new routine is being set up... I can't wait to scrap, blog and use the left side of my brain for a chance.

My adventure here in Michigan is going well. I am rebuilding slowy and steadily. I'm excited about the future and all the blessings that are on the way. Time is waiting for no one and I am determined to "Praise the Lord and have a Joyous time in it"!!!!

I can't Believe...

I can't believe it's been awhile since I've updated my Blog. I love my blog. I hope my Blog still loves me.

Well, everything has been good since I've made my move. I really Love being back. The weather has been very good. I can't complain even though I can muster up alittle small tiny complaint... Today it was COLD! ok... that's enough. LOL

School is going good. I pray that my instructor feels better... She's been out of class and I know that this flu thingy is going around. You know... Ta-nisha's teacher died from complications from H1N1. I do NOT want that for my teacher because she's the greatest!! She has the Heart of Gold and really LOVE her role as an Instructor/Academic Advisor. Dr. Tack... I'm praying for you.

Well, Thanksgiving is coming up. I have plans to go to Mrs. Ross house. I can't wait. Other than that I don't have any plans. God is so Good! I would like to go home and spend time with my mom and dad but, in due season. I have so many things to be Thankful for... I don't know where to begin...

Scrapping... I'm going scrapping at Teefah's this weekend... I'm excited. I haven't been since Holloween... I'm ready!!!

Sunday...! It's past for this week but... SUNDAY!

This morning was really nice. I'm Thankful for another day! God is so good to me. It's amazing how when you read the bible and apply it to your life... when you go back and look at the warning and correction that's provided Man, you can't do nothing but, say Thank you Lord!



I missed my Scrappin' Sistah's this weekend. I will be there in May (Lord's will). I can't wait to scrap something... I feel alittle out of tune. I need to do another baby book. Little Calib book will be the next one to complete... without pictures... I would love to have some pics of him but, I haven't seen him. Well, it's a must do!!!

To Day is the DAY!!!

Good Morning... I'm excited about to day. I am ready! I have prayed about it and I'm going to the wedding! I am going to come back and complete my paper. I will take pics!!!

It's Been A While

I know it's been a while. I had some changes in life again and only Jesus can help me through this life lesson. I'm so thankful to have him on my side. I am working hard in school and I can't wait until my career take off.

Nothing much is going on... I'm applying for different jobs and higher education careers. I'm faithful! The outcomes are going to be greater than anything I can image.

Ok... Facebook... it's a nice tool. I just reconnected with my God Son's Dad!!! It was a good friend to me! It's amazing that he's married and have a son that looks like him. I'm so excited and the cool thing is him and his family lives less than 4 hours away! I can't wait to see them! WOW God is Good!

Another Great Night! I'm at the beach sitting very close to the water. The waves are calmin and the people are friendly... Thank God.

Have you ever sat on the beach in the evening just to marvel in the sounds, watch the lighting in the sky and pray? the feeling is indiscrible!

Its so important to live life. Oft times people are placed in your life to plant those seeds that will get your mind wondering. Thank God for the seed planters!

Today was a Great Day! Our Troy students graduated, I met some wonderful people&before the night falls I'm spending some R&R at the beach. The joys of the Lord!

My Family Visit!

I had a wonderfully beautiful time with my family when they were here in St. Simons. My little sisters have grown to be so tall. I really love them. My dad was handsome as ever. I'm so Blessed to have 3 great sisters. I pray that God continues to Bless them and that they continue to seek him!!!

Pleased don't laugh at what I'm about to say! But, why tonight I begin printing some photos for the Sistah Retreat and I realized... That my scrapbooking room/office is the same color as the Laker uniform!!!! I am too funny! Look here are some snaps!!! LOL I am too out down. I need to add some purple in the room to make it have both colors but, I'm just amazed at the gold color of my room and how... it's going to look wonderful with my lay out I'm going to do!!!

My Big sister showed up to the beach with me today! It was a Great Surprise! I haven't seen her in a few weeks. Yes, I know we live in the same town but, life! That's all I have to say. So, we sat there let the sun soak in and people watched. Everyone was having a good time. Many families. It was very nice to see the little kids play in the water. Very Joyful. I know I got an excellent tan and so did my sister. What a wonderful day and time I had soaking in some of the natural Vitamin D!

This Weekend!!!!

Ok, This weekend was good. I was a little concerned because I did not come into this week with A+ health. My ear is trying me!

I really enjoyed watching the game on Sat... I wanted Chicago to win but, I guess the Celtics out played them. The Celtics did have more skill and knowledge. I love the way the Celtics slowed down when they needed too. I think when Chicago learn that this skill is about patience and timing they will be Great! I can't wait to see them preform next year! Today, Sunday... Atlanta did there THANG! I'm so proud of them. I'm ready for the next round... Lakers on Monday!!! Let's Go Lakers!!!

Sunday... Oh How I Love Jesus!!! I really Love my Church. I love being ministered too. Again, the Sunday word was directed towards me. I'm so Thankful!!! On my drive home it was such a wonderful day. The sun was shining so brightly I decided to go to the beach. I took some pictures... but, forgot to take my chair to chill. It was totally worth the visit. I'm going to put my chair back in the truck. You know... the beach is that place where you can sit there and just enjoy God's marvellous wonders. See the Pics! Don't look at my hair blowing in the WIND!!

Angie's May 1st Ramblings...

Well, today is May 1, 2009!!!



Kenn-Kenn is officially is a 1 year old!! Her birthday was April 30. It's amazing how time flies... I'm so happy I actually got to see her before she turned one!! I do wish I was able to hold her when she was a newborn, play with her feet when she was a 2 months old, I wish I was able to hear when she laughed "that real laugh" for the first time, I wish I was there when she cooed because, she wanted her mom to pick her up! Oh, what a joyous sound when I hear her say "Yes"! I couldn't believe she could speak so clear... my what a first birthday brings. Kenn-Kenn is so sweet and I can't wait to hang out with her again. Hopefully, another 344days won't pass before it happens.



Good Friends... I have so many good friends. I'm truly Blessed! I absolutely LOVE people! I wish I could talk with my friends and visit them whenever I wanted too. I wish we could travel together often... but, I am truly Thankful for everyone! I can see the growth in myself by meeting new people and keeping in touch with the ones I've had for years! I really and truly value friendships!!



Congratulations!!!!! Congrats to the Graduating Class of 2009.



ShaRon, you did it girl. I am so proud of you! You have worked hard, planned, and executed your education!!! I've watched you grow, stretch, give, get sick, pull it together, sacrifice and conquer your goal!!! Girlfriend, you are BAD!!! I am so EXCITED!!! Actually, I'm VERY EXCITED because, TWO of my good friends... have life changing events "COMING LIVE" to us real soon!!! C - is having us a baby!!! I can't wait... I can't wait to find out what we are having... man!!! T - is getting married!!!!! I can't wait... I'm so HAPPY for her and her fiance'. God is Good all the time!!! I can't wait to see these well deserving ladies smiling with Great Joy!!!



Well, the summer time is coming and my Dad and family may come down to Good Ole' St. Simons Island, GA!!! I can't wait to see them... My little sisters are growing up and I miss them. Time really goes by fast. It would be good to see everyone... it's been a long time since they have been here in Georgia. Also, it's been 2 years since I've been to Los Angeles! I need to get there!



I need to scrap this weekend!!! I reeally neeeeeed to scrap this weekend!!!! URG! I MUST SCRAP THIS WEEKEND!!!!

A little history of me...

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Every year before I could remember I've been travelling to St. Simons Island, Georgia. Yes, Georgia has islands... I had the best Grandparents in the world. Thomas and Katherine. They had the best house in the world. It was the coolest. Ofttimes, I think of it when I see the color purple. I wish I knew who built it. I wish I had a picture of the actual land and the animals that lived there. I do have memories and every now and then I find a great picture. Pictures are truly priceless! Below is a picture of my Grandparents house... This picture is dated 1970. They moved out of that house in 1987; there is no telling how long they lived there... my dad was born in '44 - Dad said that the house was there years before he was born. The house had 5 bedrooms, the biggest bathroom ever!!! and the Best smelling kitchen where all the food made with Love (any grandchild would love to visit). I miss watching the thunderstorms in the middle of the day while sittin' on the sofa on the front porch... I miss the sloped floor as you walk in the front door... I miss looking out of the window at night and seeing nothing on the other side because there was "NO" light - just corn fields... I miss the beautiful front room decorated nicely and watching my Grandma read her bible and talk with my Granddad! Those were the days... when I was too little to stay home by myself... when I didn't want to go outside after dark because it was "TOO" dark! when the pear tree was huge... when my sister would have to rub me down with alcohol because I was bit badly by the mosquitoes... when the horse was crazy... when the dog were lazy because of the heat... the roosters were weird too... the pig or hog was extra fat and the neighbor was 1/2 mile away! Oh, how I miss running from the car to the door because I was a city girl and I just could get used to being in the country!!! I cried every night to GO HOME!! Those were the days! LOL




I thank God for that experience!

I need to...

SCRAP!!!

I really need to make some cards. I have some special birthdays that near... like today and for the next few days. I have not scrapped a card. I should be ashamed. I love all of my friends and family who are celebrating birthdays. I wish I had it to make them a card!!! My My My!!! I need to get it together! I am out of my routine! I need to work on me! Lord!!!

It's Been Awhile!!

It's been awhile this I know. I don't know what happened... I just fell off. First it was too cold to be sitting in the front of the house and playing on the computer... All of a sudden Months passed by!!! I couldn't believe it. Time left me in the wind. I haven't scrapped, shopped, travelled or did nothing! I have been getting my Church on! I have a new Church! I love it. I did love my first church... they really laid a foundation. But, my current Church is HOME! I Love the delivery of the Word! I Love the enthusiaum of My Pastor. I Love the realness and transparency of his life and passion for Christ. I Love the first Lady! God is so AWESOME!!! I am Growing!!! I have Grown and I look forward to keep striving forward!!!

In a nut shell. My schedule has been very busy with work. Work Work Work. I work 2 jobs and I love them both. I just came back from seeing one of the cutest, sweetest babies I've every seen! I'm excited for Life and I'm Thankful for the many Blessings God has given me.

My Heart is SINGING!

I am so happy that my friend is in Love!!! I am so happy that I met Rhonda and she saw Boyce's picture and asked,"He's cute who is he?" I replied, "That's Boyce he's single want to talk to him?". I'm so happy for them... Check out the love on their face!

My prayer for them is that they will alway keep God first, Love like this day is the first day of the rest of there life, agree to disagree and communicate communicate communicate!!! I love them both but God Loves them more!

I'm so happy for them!

Today is Valentine's Day

Today is Valentine’s Day and the song that has been ringing in my ear is, “Unquenchable” by Shekinah Glory. The lyric that is playing over and over in my head is… He is the air I breathe… the wind beneath my wings… my heart and spirit!!! God is my love and he is my valentine. I’m so excited that in 2009 a sad thought has not been my main thought when thinking about valentines. I’m truly Blessed. I pray that all couples are enjoying themselves today, tomorrow and forever more.

Yesterday was a very bad/tragic airplane accident. I pray for the family and friends of everyone effected. It’s amazing how one minute you’re talking with someone and the next minute they are gone. I know that it’s very important to say, “I love your loved one, treat them right and hug them” but, how much do we really understand that our time here on earth is but a vapor? The way that God loves us is so perfect in spite of everything/thought/action we/I do. God Loves us!!! God is Love!!! I love him!!! Daily, I strive to love people the way God want me to and not the way I want to. When feelings and emotions get involved my mood changes but, God… his never changes.

This year so far has been wonderful. I can’t complain at all. I love life and I love love love God. My goal is to work very hard, do Gods will, grow in God, travel, scrapbook, and be me.

Things that has been happening… I made a small purchase. I went to Target… It’s the first time this year (I’m sure only once this year). I got some wall art. I know it doesn’t sound like a big deal but, It is to me. I haven’t (let me repeat) I have not purchased any wall art or frames since I left Michigan in Feb. 2007. Here’s the picture… I really like my purchases.

Another event that has occurred… I had company from Chicago. This very nice man came down to check on his property (that’s next to mine). Well, he informed me that he’s interested in parking his mobile home right next to my house. I was so upset! I’m not playing I was upset that he thought he was going to clean a small spot of land off and plant his mobile home right next to my house. So, he had the land cleared… which made me mad because it exposes my house to the road… Now, you can drive by and see my house. I don’t like that! And, then I found out that “he can not plant his mobile home next to my house because it’s against SSI’s land ordinance. SO! That means that I have this piece of undeveloped wet land (yes, I said wet land) that is not manicured, that does not look like my green grass/dry dirt - sticking out like a sore thumb. To top it off it’s, right before you arrive to my house! Then, on Feb 12, 2009 he goes back to the comforts of his Chicago home where is has everything set up just like he wants it... I’m sure no exposed wet land!!! I wish that he cared a little. See the picture!!!! I know it sounds like I’m mad/upset… but, I’m not. The first night I was! Then, it was time to go to bed so I prayed about it and have not been mad/upset since. I just wanted to share on my blog! SMILE!

Well, lastly. I love love love my job as an Academic Advisor for Troy University! I work with some very nice people and I love meeting the students. I can see this job as a stepping stone into a larger campus and more students. I am very Thankful… My boss is a wonderful person and I admire her knowledge of Higher Education and gusto for her job! I look forward to many opportunities as they arise… and I’m thanking God every step of the way!!!

I had a wonderful time at Cara Jean's wedding. Cara Jean and Daniel have this awesome Love that just was a joy to see become a wonderful union. I must say that I LOVED the Father/Daughter dance song titled... I Loved her First by Heartland played. It was the most beautiful song I've every heard from a father to a daughter. I promised myslef that I was going to remember this song for my Father/Daughter dance. The food was Great!!! The day could not have been more perfect. I pray that they continue to put God first and Love each other with a fresh love just as they did this day!

My New Job is...

...Academic Advisor for Troy University. I'm so excited. I do know that "What God has for you... is for you!" I am so Thankful of God's favor, love and mercy. Now, I will get to use my degree. I will get to learn from some wonderful women that run Troy University Brunswick site. I do not have to commute an hour away. AND, I do not have to do something that is against what I believe is moral.

I'm excited. As of now, I will began on January 1st. But, it may be sooner because I have all the paper work complete.

I'm ready for the New Year!!!

The world should Celebrate today because my Dad has a new car!!! I must tell you he has been driving a 1985 Toyota Camry for the past 20 years!!! Ok about 15 years!!! But, I'm so happy he let it go!!! Now he has a 2006 Chevy Tahoe!!! I'm so excited that he has something that he wants.

Humility and Determination!!!

This morning I woke up feeling very Happy! I love that the Sun was shining brightly and the Lord allowed me to see another day. I Thank God for his mercy and Love!

Last night was the first night of the historic Presidential win with Sen. Barack Obama as our new Leader. This morning is the first day of the Our Change... I'm going to count down to January 20, 2009 when he is inaugurated.

Listening to Sen. McCain concede was very interesting. I felt he did a wonderful job of trying to calm his supporters and also congratulate Sen. Obama. Sen. McCain was very sullen and humbled by the experience.

Listening to Sen. Obama speak was a great feeling. I don't think I would have been able to stand and listen live... I would have be crying all over the place. However, I did enjoy the way he referenced God and explained that he will need everyone's support both those that supported him and those that opposed. I loved when he stated that he must lead this country with Humility and Determination. I pray that he continue to seek God and lead this country with Humility, Determination and Dignity.

After the win, I began listening to the Mayor of Newark, New Jersey Cory Booker explained that his mother said, if someone think this win is about a single human race you are wrong... this historic run and win for the highest governmental official was about the love and compassion of people and the country.

I've read this and thought to share it... Former U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan, who is from the West African nation of Ghana, said the vote was a historic event that he had never expected to see in his lifetime. He said Obama's victory demonstrates "America's extraordinary capacity to renew itself and adapt to a changing world."

I also loved the model of the first family. I love that we have a African American First Family. I love that they show public affection, His wife waited for him when he was leaving the stage, the children and family members were there and that they are a real live verison of an African American Family.

HUMILITY AND DETERMINATION!!!!!

Why is this Election important it me?

This election is important to me because, I get to be apart of the most unthinkable historic moment in the United States of America. I never and I mean NEVER thought that there would ever be a African American President. I am so excited to see this experience manifest. I Pray for his family and all the decisions he makes. This election is important to me because it's not about one race it's about the people of this Country... NO the People of this WORLD progressing forward.

I was looking on Teefah's Blog page and I found this wonderful picture of My Dad and wife. It was so nice to see them. I love them! God Bless them.

I Voted 10/28/08

I didn't like my pic so I cropped the sticker off my shirt to post it.

I went to vote around 4:45pm. I was in line next to a school teacher that had on the nicest earrings; Green my favorite color. She was there to vote a straight Republician ticket... NOTE: I did not ask who she was going vote for... I just happen to see that she checked it off on her application. Bad Me!

I haven't voted in Georgia in 8 years and it was a big surprise to see the method of voting has changed. Everything is electronic. Once I reached the inside of the fire station I noticed that no one had the long ballot forms (like Michigan). It was very interesting to see the former school teacher handing out a bright yellow card that resembled a credit card to insert in the machine. At first, I thought I would be so lost in my new experience but, I didn't fret too long. "I was a Girl on a Mission!" The atmosphere was very pleasant... There was only one child (with parent); she had to be around 12 years old. I asked her if this was her first time voting and she said No! LOL. The line moved very fast and I got on my mark and made my selections and moved on out of the was with my head held high! During my selections my blood was moving swiftly and proudly. Sad Events of this World...

It's always sad to read about murders... Last week when I read about the Arkansas Anchorwomen that was brutally beat... I had no idea that she would die on by Sunday. The whole crime was very senseless. I pray for her family. I pray that justice is done.

Then you have Jennifer Hudson's family... I'm talking about UNCALLED FOR!!! just SENSELESS!!! It doesn't make any sense. This whole murder/kidnapping thing is just too much. To kill someones Mom, Brother and Nephew is totally ridiculous. Nothing is going to be resolved that way... it's just CRAZY. My heart goes out to her, her sister and anyone associated with their family. My prayer for the family is that they let God into those empty spots in their heart. I know it's easy to say but, I've been there and I know God is a way maker, can do all things and he will comfort you if you let him.

Another tragedy that has happened this weekend was... On a college campus in Arkansas. Two killed on a campus and one still in the hospital. It's so sad when you send your children to school to further there education and then you get the call that they have been killed on campus. This crime is becoming too common... to commonly ridiculous!!! I pray for the family and friends of these victims.
