I must say that I LOVED the Father/Daughter dance song titled... I Loved her First by Heartland played. It was the most beautiful song I've every heard from a father to a daughter. I promised myslef that I was going to remember this song for my Father/Daughter dance. The food was Great!!! The day could not have been more perfect. I pray that they continue to put God first and Love each other with a fresh love just as they did this day!

Where would I be
If not for your grace
Carrying me
In every season
Where would I be

You came to my rescue
And I want to thank You
For Your grace
Grace like a river
Where would I be
If not for your grace
Carrying me
In every season
Where would I be
If not for Your grace
You came to my rescue
And I want to thank You
For Your grace
Grace that restores
Grace that redeems
Grace that releases
Me to worship

Humility and Determination!!!

This morning I woke up feeling very Happy! I love that the Sun was shining brightly and the Lord allowed me to see another day. I Thank God for his mercy and Love!

Last night was the first night of the historic Presidential win with Sen. Barack Obama as our new Leader. This morning is the first day of the Our Change... I'm going to count down to January 20, 2009 when he is inaugurated.

Listening to Sen. McCain concede was very interesting. I felt he did a wonderful job of trying to calm his supporters and also congratulate Sen. Obama. Sen. McCain was very sullen and humbled by the experience.

Listening to Sen. Obama speak was a great feeling. I don't think I would have been able to stand and listen live... I would have be crying all over the place. However, I did enjoy the way he referenced God and explained that he will need everyone's support both those that supported him and those that opposed. I loved when he stated that he must lead this country with Humility and Determination. I pray that he continue to seek God and lead this country with Humility, Determination and Dignity.

After the win, I began listening to the Mayor of Newark, New Jersey Cory Booker explained that his mother said, if someone think this win is about a single human race you are wrong... this historic run and win for the highest governmental official was about the love and compassion of people and the country.
I've read this and thought to share it... Former U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan, who is from the West African nation of Ghana, said the vote was a historic event that he had never expected to see in his lifetime. He said Obama's victory demonstrates "America's extraordinary capacity to renew itself and adapt to a changing world."
I also loved the model of the first family. I love that we have a African American First Family. I love that they show public affection, His wife waited for him when he was leaving the stage, the children and family members were there and that they are a real live verison of an African American Family.
HUMILITY AND DETERMINATION!!!!!

Why is this Election important it me?

This election is important to me because, I get to be apart of the most unthinkable historic moment in the United States of America. I never and I mean NEVER thought that there would ever be a African American President. I am so excited to see this experience manifest. I Pray for his family and all the decisions he makes. This election is important to me because it's not about one race it's about the people of this Country... NO the People of this WORLD progressing forward.

Scraproom Pics!

The pictures are posted from right to left. I have a few more pictures I'm going to put on the walls and I still need to have my wall quote. I think what I'm missing is some more organizational tools. Also, I did buy another basket that will match the other on the 1st-3rd shelf.

Host unlimited photos at slide.com for FREE!

I was looking on Teefah's Blog page and I found this wonderful picture of My Dad and wife. It was so nice to see them. I love them! God Bless them.

I Voted 10/28/08

I didn't like my pic so I cropped the sticker off my shirt to post it.

I went to vote around 4:45pm. I was in line next to a school teacher that had on the nicest earrings; Green my favorite color. She was there to vote a straight Republician ticket... NOTE: I did not ask who she was going vote for... I just happen to see that she checked it off on her application. Bad Me!

I haven't voted in Georgia in 8 years and it was a big surprise to see the method of voting has changed. Everything is electronic. Once I reached the inside of the fire station I noticed that no one had the long ballot forms (like Michigan). It was very interesting to see the former school teacher handing out a bright yellow card that resembled a credit card to insert in the machine. At first, I thought I would be so lost in my new experience but, I didn't fret too long. "I was a Girl on a Mission!" The atmosphere was very pleasant... There was only one child (with parent); she had to be around 12 years old. I asked her if this was her first time voting and she said No! LOL. The line moved very fast and I got on my mark and made my selections and moved on out of the was with my head held high! During my selections my blood was moving swiftly and proudly. I thank God that I had the opportunity to vote in the Presidential Election! and to vote in an Presidential Election where a Black Man was running! Obama '08

Thank God!!!

Sad Events of this World...

It's always sad to read about murders... Last week when I read about the Arkansas Anchorwomen that was brutally beat... I had no idea that she would die on by Sunday. The whole crime was very senseless. I pray for her family. I pray that justice is done.

Then you have Jennifer Hudson's family... I'm talking about UNCALLED FOR!!! just SENSELESS!!! It doesn't make any sense. This whole murder/kidnapping thing is just too much. To kill someones Mom, Brother and Nephew is totally ridiculous. Nothing is going to be resolved that way... it's just CRAZY. My heart goes out to her, her sister and anyone associated with their family. My prayer for the family is that they let God into those empty spots in their heart. I know it's easy to say but, I've been there and I know God is a way maker, can do all things and he will comfort you if you let him.

Another tragedy that has happened this weekend was... On a college campus in Arkansas. Two killed on a campus and one still in the hospital. It's so sad when you send your children to school to further there education and then you get the call that they have been killed on campus. This crime is becoming too common... to commonly ridiculous!!! I pray for the family and friends of these victims.

Lord comfort your People!!!

Happy Birthday Heather D.

May God Bless you today and always!!! I love you LIL Sis!!!

Latest Scrap Page.

This is my newest page. My Lovely friend Meredith and her baby Amiel.

Enjoy! Thanks for stopping by.

St. Simons!

Ok. my dad is from St. Simons Island, Georgia and I currently live here. It's a interesting little place that many people seek to visit for special quite getaways. In spite of what may sound like a remote place (in Georgia) you can really drive over the bridges and get here... The island is approximately4 hours south east of Atlanta, 1 hour south of Savannah, GA and 1 hour north of Jacksonville, Fl. This island is 11.5 miles long and 3 miles wide. There is a pier, a lighthouse... and plenty of marshland to set off every one's sinuses when the weather change. This is the place to be if you want to see wonderful fireworks during the fourth of July, art festivals throughout the year or to enjoy warm weather year around.

When I get a chance I will add some snap shots of the island but, my pics will never display the real beauty of this island!

I know... Straight Random!!!

This is the day!

I have Five random things to say today... Inspired by another blog; that gave me good laugh the other day.

1. I LOVE Cheez-it's the real ones not the other brands.

2. I really Sing all Day!!! But, don't like the way I sound on the mircophone so that's why I won't sing at church.

3. I miss Michigan more ways that I care to share but, I don't want to move back.

4. I have two lizards in my house (non-pets) and one of them I've nicknamed "Ghetto"! The first one appeared in my house and the second one was on my door one night when I came home... Well, I opened the door and he landed on the floor. He was very bold and firm in his stance! I watched him for two days. The first day he walked over to the table by the entrance and then that night he was across the room on the blinds posted like he was King Kong hanging on the pole... Just posted. Well, the next day I came home and "Ghetto" was on top of the vertical blinds (over the sliding glass door)... He decides to move but, not only did me move he... proceeds to jump from one blind to the other. You are talking about FUNNY!!! He was jumping and hanging move than half off the skinny vertical blind... he did it about 4 times because climbing back up to the top and climbing across the wall. *** The sad thing is I've been watching them and laughing rather than removing from the HOUSE!! Silly Me ***

5. I have a tentative schedule to scrapbook more daily.

FUNNY Forward !!!

One day, in line at the company cafeteria, Joe says to Mike behind him, 'My elbow hurts like heck. I guess I'd better see a doctor.'

'Listen, you don't have to spend that kind of money,' Mike replies.

'There's a diagnostic computer down at Wal-Mart. Just give it a urine sample and the computer will tell you what's wrong and what to do about it.

It takes ten seconds and costs ten dollars . . . A lot cheaper than a doctor.'

So, Joe deposits a urine sample in a small jar and takes it to Wal-Mart.

He deposits ten dollars and the computer lights up and asks for the urine sample. He pours the sample into the slot and waits.

Ten seconds later, the computer ejects a printout:

'You have tennis elbow. Soak your arm in warm water and avoid heavy activity. It will improve in two weeks. Thank you for shopping @ Wal-Mart.'

That evening, while thinking how amazing this new technology was, Joe began wondering if the computer could be fooled.

He mixed some tap water, a stool sample from his dog, urine samples from his wife and daughter, and a sperm sample for good measure.

Joe hurries back to Wal-Mart, eager to ch eck the results. He deposits ten dollars, pours in his concoction, and awaits the results.

The computer prints the following:

1. Your tap water is too hard. Get a water softener. (Aisle 9)
2. Your dog has ringworm. Bathe him with anti-fungal shampoo. (Aisle 7)
3. Your daughter has a cocaine habit. Get her into rehab.
4. Your wife is pregnant. Twins. They aren't yours. Get a lawyer.
5 If you don't stop playing with yourself, your elbow will never get better!

Thank you for shopping @ Wal-Mart

Shooters and Stable visits!

To me Laurie looks like a "Power Sharpe Shooter Bond Girl"... She did a wonderful job at shooting the skeets.

This Stallion loved Annaliese! He was soooooo sweet!

Angie missed every Skeet!!! The instructor tried so hard to guide me but, I just didn't make the shot. I'm not too mad because I like not being a sharpe shooter.

This is Sea Island, GA.

WHYYYY

Why do I always have some kind of "SOMETHING" coming in from the wild/outside!!! WHYYYYYY... I had to take a picture!!! You know me... He looks much smaller in person.

Needless to say... The little friendly lizard walked around the sliding glass door before he decided to go and get some fresh air. I did not bother him and he did not bother me... It was a friendly visit... However he's not invited to come back anytime soon.

Word of the Day!!

gaiety
Part of Speech: adjective
Synonyms: affable, amiable, blithe, buoyant, cavalier, convivial, debonair, ecstatic, effervescent, euphoric, gay, genial, jaunty, joyous, phrenetic, rhapsodic, spirited

Work...

Oh How do I love my job. I really enjoy working here at the King and Prince Beach and Golf Resort. If any of you desire some reservations to our wonderful resort call us at 1800-342-0212. We often have specials and discounts. The view is very nice and the customer service is alway pleasant.

The reason why I love this job... The people in this company are not just co-workers but, family. This is my third time working with this company and everyone is just as friendly as before. The bosses seek to get to know everyone and make sure everyone is included. The company promote it's property, teamwork and laughter. There are many companies that want results and revenue but, never compliment nor include there employees to get results. Oh yeah, I love the food here at the resort and the easy access to the beach. SO Beautiful.

Ok, I was totally inspired by this young lady on Youtube... I think her name is Sabra723. This young lady sing very very well check her out. Anyway, she have this post that talked about her relationship with God and the book The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren... I know everyone has this book or has heard of it by now but, Chapter 35 is talking about your weaknesses. It intrigued me to look deeper into my own weaknesses. I want to use these tools to strengthen my weaknesses with the Lord as my foundation. I challenge everyone to look at this chapter and grow! I will post my weaknesses as a way to grow and strengthen them. So, until Later!!!

Scrabble

One of my favor past times... and I actually found someone that will play with me. I'm so excited. One of my church friends came by and played. It was so much fun. I see my competative side coming out again. I tried to be nice but, she was not pleased. I used all the words that I know and some that I've remembered from instructions... such as QAT and YE. I thought I did a good job. I remember playing with Tiffani and how she stopped playing with me because I won to many times... The first time Tiffani won she gloated and never played with me again! it was 12/03 (I saw the score paper). Good times. Later I will enclose the picture of the board (yes, I did take a picture!!) LOL

Are you being tested??

I thought this was good message and I wanted to share it!!!

September 20, 2008
Are You Being Tested?
Bishop E. Earl Jenkins

"Test me, O Lord... Examine my heart and my mind." Psalm 26:2 NIV

Let's take a look today at two tests:

(1) The offense test. Jesus said, "Offenses will come" (Lk 17:1). So be ready! Those who lead always take the worst of the flack. The front line is no place for the weak-willed or the weak-kneed. So, what are you going to do when offenses come? Get mad and get nowhere? Get even and get into trouble? Or get over it by practicing forgiveness. "If you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins" (Mk 11:25 NIV).

(2) The warfare test. This test is for those who claim to be strong in faith, but prove to be weak in fight. "When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them on the road through the Philistine country, though that was shorter. For God said, 'If they face war, they might change their minds and return to Egypt'" (Ex 13:17 NIV). Now, you haven't been called to be insensitive and abrasive, but if your destiny is worth pursuing - it's worth fighting for! So, toughen up! It's a battlefield, not a bed of roses. You must engage the enemy each day using each spiritual weapon at your disposal.

If you don't he'll steal every God-given blessing you've got, including your identity, your testimony, your integrity, your family, your calling, and your future. This test demonstrates your ability to continue in your vision even while you're experiencing disappointment and opposition. So remember, the level of attack is the best indicator as to the level of blessing that waits for you beyond the attack!

Bloggin'

Reflectin'

Church was GOOOOOOODDDD Yesterday!!! I know I had a wonderful time. The word was on point and I soaked all of it up. "Taking Authority of you!!!!" It's important to understand that God gives us the power to take control of our lives. Often people have no problem telling others how they should handle situations and or act... but, if we model our lives after God/The Word!!!! He will guide us towards the things we need to do and say in our lives.

T Barker!!!

Many people don't know that I'm a Travis Barker fan. I love him and I will be praying for a full recovery from this crash. I know that God is able and can do all things. I also will be praying for DjAM and the families and friends that are grieving. It saddens me and catch me by surprise when I read the headlines.

So see my favorite track (hands down) Travis played Crank Da on the drums... You can see a close up of his drumming skills... I don't know how many times I've watched this video. Enjoy!!!

I just watched the Flo Rida video Travis did... Bangin' Watch This

Hello

Hello It's Me.
Everything has been going fine... I had the pleasure of seeing one of my Scrapin Sista's about two weeks ago... Janine. It was so nice to see her and meet her husband. I loved the scrapin' session... and I sprained my toe. It was really bad. It still hurts believe it or not. I haven't had on any heels but, I guess I should pay more attention and not skip stairs!! But, I'm ok! I started to take a pic of it but, I just couldn't do it! LOL I hate that I didn't see you before you left town. Next time for sure. SMILE

I quit my job! Yes, for real... I quit my job. I have plans and goals but, for now I will be working for King and Prince! I am so Thankful that the stress of being a social services case manager is over... I am enjoying the peace of mind. I am so thankful of the Love that God has for me. He is my keeper! With him I can do all things!

Above is a picture of my new hair do... I am so Blessed to have a very kind hairdressor and friend!!! She Blesses me! I just need to do what she says. LOL

A little sad news... My friend Alisha (John) lost her baby; she was four months into the pregnancy. I cried when she told me the news. I am praying for them and I know that God never fails nor make mistakes.

September 3rd made a year that my nephew has passed. It was a rough year but, God is so Good to even give us 19 years with him. I wasn't very sad but, I was reflective. I love him and I there is a piece of him with me.

Remember to pray and thank you for stopping by!

8-8-08

Well, I tried to post on 8-8-08 but, we had bad thrunderstorms and it wiped out my services for a long time. Actually, my home phone is still acting crazy. But, I did take a pic. I got my hair done out of my norm and I wanted to take a photo. I got it done one way for the interview at Jacksonville University but, I went back to have it done curly. When she finished... my first thought was LORD, what have I DONE!!!! I look like Curly Sue... Actually, I look like I've regressed to a Jheri Curl... but, before I left many people told me that it will fall and it will look very nice. SO, I'm trusting and by church the curls did fall. I'M SO THANKFUL for the HUMIDITY!!! LOL

I went to church and had a wonderful time on 8-8-08.

As you all know Lateefah has had Kennedy! I miss her and I don't know when I'm going to Michigan to play with her. I'm not sure when Alisha is due but, I will be praying for a wonderful healthy baby!

Oh yeah I did call both of them and fussed them about not getting pregnant while I was there. but, I followed up the fussings with " I LOVE YOU AND I'M SO PROUD OF YOU!!!!

Saturday, June 21, 2008

Well it's the weekend...

Let's recap this week!!

First, my Lakers stopped playing basketball in the middle of the finals. Needless to say I was SAD!!! But, they played hard and learned alot.

I had a good work week. I still don't feel like I've finished everything but, I'm not worried. I heard this man speak once and he said... don't feel like you must complete every little thing all the time. Learning and working is not about completing every task but, about doing the best you can do when ever you're working on a task. Since hearing that message I've been working harder and smarter.

I hard the opportunity to buy some books for a few friends... now, all I have to do is slow down and go to the post office... Some times that just seems like an impossible task. Please forgive me!!!

Regina Belle is the lastest CD that I purchased... Can you say WOW!!! I love her work! and this is an exceptional CD! What a Blessing.

I have a new cellphone. I think I like it. It's the Glyde from Verizon. The one thing I did wrong was download and buy some music when I thought I was downloading some ringtones!!! LOL Mistakes do happen. At least I like the songs.

Scrappin' I will be completing my cards today and I will be making a page or two. I have a few friends coming over next weekend so I'm excited about that!!! We're going to have a scrappin good time!!!

Well, I guess I got somethings out!

Tuesday, June 17, 2008

Let's Go LAKERS!!!

Let's Go LAKERS!!!! Let's go for game 7

Tuesday!

Ok... Today is Tuesday. I'm excited. I don't know why but, I'm excited. I feel a little happier than Normal! The Lord is doing his thing. I got to work (I'm not going to say on time but, I made it), I didn't talk on the phone much, and all of my children are stable for now. I'm thankful. One of my friends that is also a co-worker is moving to MIAMI... I'm so excited for her. She deserves all the happiness and joy that she can image +.

I have been trying to scrap! I have a card that I must complete. I have a page I want to get done.

Monday, June 09, 2008

Hey All

Today is Monday. I'm excited and I am Thankful. I was totally inspired by Miss Lynne to blog today! Thanks for being an inspiration. I tried to lose my mojo but, It's coming back full force.

My goal for this week is to slow down and take care of me. I invest in myself with scrapbooking items but, I don't invest in the time to create... So, I this week I will take time out and create!!! I will be making me a calender of time blocks. I feel that's just something I need in my life at this time. I have many task and I need organization. This is new week and I will look at life with rosie eyes, make goals and accomplish them.

I'm Standing on the Promise of God!!!!

I thank God for all of my friends and scrappin' sistahs! Be Blessed!

When things get a little tight this week or a little frustrating just remember that "God will sheild those that put their trust in him!!!"

Getting ready for the Baby Shower

So, I'm getting ready for my bestfriends baby shower. I'm loving the cards. I know I did them myself but, I like the outcome. Sometimes I feel like I should tweek them but, they really reflect my work. I hope she like them. I must order the cake soon. March 29th will be here before you know it. I will be treking up to Michigan. I pray it's not cold. Here's the card.

I got some scrappin' done with my co-worker. We had a good time. I played a little disco for her and we scrapped. OMG she made this dip. It was so good. It was sausage, cream cheese and tomatoes. It was sooooooooo good. I'm going to make it. And, soon!

Until later.

I've missed typing and journaling. I haven't done it in a while. I have so many things that has happened but, nothing much really... I know that sounds funny!

At work so many things has changed but, for the better (so I think). No true drama and no real gossip.

I miss my nephew.

I miss my Mom and Dad. I haven't seen them in a while. I love them much.

I miss my friends in Michigan... I haven't seen them in a while. I will be there visiting at the end of March. I can't wait.

Here's looking at me Kid. Yeah I got a lot cut off on the 8th of Jan. I can't believe it took me so long to take and post a picture... I'm really slippin'. I didn't want this month to go out with not posting a picture of the "AFTER".
